Sundays @ Heysham FM

Picture

Worship

We love to worship God. At Heysham FM we sing a variety of songs; from the classics of the Wesley brothers right up to the latest songs written by Hillsong, Worship Central and others.

Message

We love the Bible at Heysham FM as we believe it is God's Word and is relevant to our lives today. We believe lives are transformed as we encounter Jesus through teaching and applying the Bible. In both of our gatherings someone will give a message from the Bible.

Community

We love people. Our church is not about a building but about people. At Heysham FM we laugh, cry, celebrate, support and grow together. After our gatherings we love to hang out over a coffee.
Morning Gathering - 10.45am-12noon

Everyone is together for the start of the service which we begin with worship. After around 15mins of worship, which will include an offering,  our amazing kids head out with our awesome Creche and Sunday School teams. We continue in worship before we hear a great 25-30minute message. We end our service with worship as we seek to respond to what God has said to us through the message. At the end of the service we have our Prayer Ministry team available to pray with anyone who would like prayer, whether for healing, circumstances or in response to the message.

Once a month we also share communion. Communion is great as we celebrate all that Jesus accomplished for the whole world on the Cross and in rising back to life.

All our Creche and Sunday School teams are DBS checked and are committed to our safeguarding policy.
Evening Gathering - 6.00pm -7.00pm

Our evening gathering is more stripped back and informal. We start with 20 minutes of worship, which may include a Bible reading or someone sharing their story, before a 20 minute practical message based on the Bible. We don't want to just hear a message but also respond so following the message we have around 20 minutes of worship and response.

Once a month we also share communion. Communion is great as we celebrate all that Jesus accomplished for the whole world on the Cross and in rising back to life.

Planning Your Visit

What should i wear?
At Heysham FM some wear suits, some wear jeans and a t-shirt. We range from formal to causal, so wear whatever you are comfortable in.
Where can i park?
We have onsite parking at the rear of church, however this is often full so on Sundays we have use of the Primary Care Centre car park which is immediately in front of our location.
How Can i get to HEysham FM by public transport?
Bus:
We are on the number 2, 2A, 2X, 3, 4. bus routes. Ask for Heysham Towers. We are just across the road behind the Primary Care Centre, around 300yrds from Heysham Towers.
What Will I Be Expected to Do?
Nothing! If you would like to just check us out and see what happens then that is absolutely fine. Feel free to join in where you want to.
During the service we will take up an offering. This is part of our worship at Heysham FM that we give to God from our resources. We encourage those who call Heysham FM their church to give to the work of the church and our mission partners. We would be so glad to see you and want you to know there is no pressure for you to give.
What About my children?
We love children at Heysham FM! Children stay in for the start of the service and after around 15mins they go out with our awesome Creche (0-preschool)  and our Sunday School groups for (Reception - Yr 8) teams.  However if you would prefer your child to stay with you that is no problem at all.

All our Creche and Sunday School teams are DBS checked and are committed to our safeguarding policy.

We also have baby changing facilities.

If you have little ones who aren't ready for creche we have a baby area in the foyer with a few toys out but feel free to stick your head into creche to borrow some more.
Where Can i sit?
At Heysham FM there is no seating plan, so find a seat and it's yours.
Do you have disabled access?
Our main meeting room is on the ground floor along with our cafe area & disabled toilets. If we can assist you in any way please do let a someone with a steward's lanyard on know and we will do all we can.

We have a loop system fitted in our main meeting room.
Can I speak to one of the pastors?
Both our Pastors will be around at the majority of our services. If you would like to chat to one of them just grab them when you see them around and they would love to get to know you and answer any questions you may have. If you would like one of them to visit you please contact the church office and they will try to arrange a visit as soon as possible.
Can i be shown around?
If you would like a tour of the building please speak to someone wearing a steward's lanyard and they would be more than happy to show you round after the service.
